FWJ Discussion Group

As many of you know I have a Google Group for those who wish to receive update alerts. Nothing fancy, just a link to this blog when new jobs are added. The group is closed to comments, however. For the past few weeks I received about two emails a week asking why I don’t open the Google group up for comments. People would love to be able to discuss the jobs and maybe offer warnings or advice. So I’m putting it to a vote. Should I allow all registered members to comment in our email group, or are we happy with one quiet daily update. (Keep in mind you can adjust your settings so you only receive one condensed email daily.)

Discuss in the comments. Leads will be around in a few hours.

    Hi, Deb -

I admit I really have no vested interest in commenting on this since I’ve never visited the Google group— but my only thought is, would this add even more work to you if you’ll have to monitor the discussion? If so, you already do so much! I’d say spare yourself the work :)

    Deb,

My mother used to say: “If you want to get something done, ask the busiest person you know to do it!”

That statement is true and the award for doing so much in such a great way certainly goes to you!

We all appreciate your hard work so much, just don’t let this work take over your life.

Oh, I wouldn’t take on all the moderating duties. I’d probably appoint a trusted helper.

I’d recommend creating a separate list/group for discussions, as there would probably be some who just want the leads delivered to their inboxes, not discussions. Perhaps create a secondary list specifically for discussions?

Rock On...
