when I click on health writers link, I get the Middle East writers ad.
Jodee… how do I get writing opportunities listed on your site?
Anya – Drop me a line at [email protected]. If it’s a paying opportunity over $10 I’ll post it.

Phil–I had the same problem.

Sorry about that!
Thank you Jodee
For the one in my neighborhood, or one neighborhood over, they included this in the requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Marketing or a related field and/or 3 years related experience
Does anyone know why someone cares? I learned my writing by doing, as I learn everything. My degree is in Chemical Engineering. I’d like this job because it will help me make good connections (and I get my Tiptree Marmalade there!). But this kind of requirement usually tells me to give it a pass.
What can I say when I don’t meet a requirement?
Erik, my degrees are in history and women’s studies, but I apply to postings that say English or journalism degree. I’ve gotten a couple of jobs that way. I just focus on my excellent skills. Of course, I also worked as a reporter, and my degree fields, while not the same, are closer than yours. I’m not sure if that would work for you, but you still should give it a shot. The worst they do is delete your email and not respond.
Brandi:
Thanks, I take it I should just ignore it an go forth, eh? I will give it a shot. It can’t hurt much (although, they might recognize me when I need more marmalade!)
Thanks again. I could use this one. These are some old money people here in Saint Paul that know a lot of people I don’t currently. Funny that I found it here!
Kathleen, you’re welcome!
Erik, someone once told me that when a job description lists a degree as a requirement, they are looking for a person with a certain level of maturity. You have a degree and some experience, just present yourself in the best possible way, as Brandi said.
Hey, I was looking into the Horror Stories posting and came up with some alerts thinking it’s likely a scam.
What do you think about this?
Well, the pay really is too high for a single artwork or short story; at least too high for a company on which I can’t find information.
I noticed that many people pay for real estate blogs and articles. That’s not my area but for any writers who are, they must do well.
If A is success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and z is keeping your mouth shut.
