WOW!!!
Thanks so much for such excellent leads this early in the morning! Huge kudos to all of you!
Have a great day!
Sarah
Thank you Sarah!
You have a great day too!
I wanted to give everybody the heads up on the post that pays “up to $40 per article.” This is probably the third or fourth time the ad appears here. I sent the guy who owns the website a note and he answered with a formal letter (I mean not personal, but a copy-and-paste thing) explaining the job. They pay $30 per article if they accept 2 articles from you in a month; $40 if they accept more than 2. The kick is that they can’t promise how many they will accept. If you send 10 but they were too busy to read them within 30 days; or if they only accept one, then you don’t get any money at all. Instead,, you are paid with “exposure and a link to your website.”
Thanks for the leads Jodee. Good ones!
Thank you for the information regarding “up to $40 article,” Diana.
Jodee,
It was great to come here and see the jobs posted already! Awesome job!
I’m going to find out about the very nebulous “comedy writer” one. Who knows, it might be a joke, right?
Seriously, I chose to audition. See what happens.
I rhink that would suit you, Erik
FYI
The guy who posted the TV Obsessed Bloggers job was only willing to pay ad share and the potential to make a name for yourself. I emailed him regarding payment for the samples he wanted and inquiring about the stipend he advertised three days ago. So far, no answer.
I recieved two declines today from queries earlier this month.
Aww Micah, that’s all right. I’ve received one too, yesterday. But life goes on and I’m flooded with work, so I’m happy
I needed to share the laugh I had this morning over the Young and the Restless job posting.
Yesterday, someone commented on how people think we sit at honme and watch soaps all day – here’s a job that will pay us to.
LOL. It’s pretty much like my current gig as a game reviewer. I love games and some of my friends think all I do all day in front of the computer is play. Now I can say I DO play, but at least I earn from it.
Someone probably already did this, but a cute cat site with daily cute stories, care tips, etc would get cat people visiting. They’re known as good suc.. sources of revenue.
(I have 4 of them, so I’m one of those with feline issues, I guess).
While I doubt most of the blogs I see could ever earn a living (mine included), that one might have a shot.
Now we just need a job where we get paid to blog about bonbons.
That would be nice. I’d apply
I applied for a writing job Wednesday (didn’t get the lead here). I had read their requirements and I matched what they were looking for. One of my qualification is that I have a Master’s Certification in English Vocabulary. Thursday I got a rejection letter from them (its always nice to at least get a response). It was laced with misspellings. LOL I sent back a reply thanking them for their time, consideration, and prompt reply. Then I nicely added that they might want to correct the misspellings in their form letter before sending it out to anyone else: and gave them all the corrections. Had to share this story: I thought it was really funny.
LOL at myself: missed the ‘s’ on the end of qualifications. At least my reply to them was correctly spelled.

I’m a gamer myself, it makes gaming seem that much better when you’re actually getting paid to do it doesn’t it?
LOL
Thanks, Chris
Chris>> I know! My mom was actually very amused when she heard. And now she’s telling everyone she knows about this particular gig. To think I’ve done much more impressive things. But no, she boasts about this one. LOL. And I love it anyways.
Part of being young, really.
A couple of these look like they might be of interest. I’ll have to check them out!
Mariella-
You have my dream job. Maybe not my dream job in terms of pay, depending on who you’re working for, but a great job nonetheless. Lucky person!
William>> Thanks! I do think I am lucky to be doing this. I’ve landed all sorts of writing gigs, but it’s very rare that I get to do something that detoxifies as well as brings in money for the bills!
Yes I will sign up for Nano too. Contests get me to write–no doubt about it. It’s a great incentive. Knowing you two (Katharine and Mariella) will be there too will be extra support and I will support you two as well!
thanks MIcah! It’s great to know you’ll participate too.
Let’s add each other up to our friends’ list when registration starts on October ♥
