Not sure if this interests anyone here because it’s not a job per se, but I have noticed that a lot of you keep personal blogs. I’m running a contest on my website at http://www.realityonbravo.com/attention-all-bloggers-project-blog/ for bloggers, and there’s cash and merchandise prizes every week for winners, plus the added bonus that your blog gets advertised on 25+ sites for free. It’s not just a silly sweepstakes–it’s actually a competition that rewards good bloggers.
Just thought I’d mention it here, since I know these are some of the best writers around!
The above appears to be a scam, probably harvesting blog feeds. If you try to enter, it blanks out your entry form and tells you to start over. E-mail to the main address listed under contact bounces.
Now I have to look for my blog to be harvested by these guys. Certainly not worth the time.
This might be a terribly dumb question, but how protective are you of your SSN? I’ve been freelancing for a few years, but had a few steady clients who kept me on retainer. Things changed, and now I’m looking for work from everyone and anyone. I’m panicking a bit after faxing a contract to a new client that included my SSN. Should I have an EIN instead? Have you ever experienced a problem with giving away your SSN? Thanks in advance.
I’ve been very lax about it, and this board convinced me I should have an EIN. I think that’s wise advice.
I’ve never had any problems, however.
Sorry, but I’m not a scammer…not sure why your email is bouncing. I’ve received a number of entries over the past few days…
I’m not “harvesting” any addresses. I put a lot of hard work into getting sponsors for this competition and promoting it on the web. Before you accuse someone of being a scammer, take the time to find out about the problem. I’ve listed my email address multiple times on the website, and will list again here for anyone having technical difficulties: [email protected]
I just did a test run on both my email and the form, and it sent to my address correctly. It may have bounced back to you if you left any of the fields blank–you have to fill out the form completely. Otherwise, if anyone else here has had problems PLEASE email me and let me know. (You can also copy and paste the form information into an email to apply that way if you’re still having problems). Thanks!
