Indeed, no response is frustrating. And extremely rude, I think. But there are also very nice souls out there who really make the effort to reply. One of my favorites:
“Thank you for your query. Unfortunately, our company is not yet that global to hire writers overseas.” This type of rejection I’ll take any day in exchange for golden silence.

That’s great! Do you have a proof of copyright? Like a dated file which could prove that you do indeed own the article? You know, just in case they ask you for proof.

Thank Mariella! Yes a definite deadbeat for one. It’s already on the web too. Good thinking about contacting them first. The way I handled this last one was I sent one and said I would like payment for that one, and that I would send the second after getting payment. No payment. So at least I didn’t have double work for no money. Thanks to this forum! It’s disheartening that some people are like that. I hope you can find where to sell your stuff…if I can help let me know.

I have started submitting to an online directory also. That is one way to make sure MY stuff is MY stuff.

Congrats, Micah!!! You got a deadbeat? I got one too last week. Well, not exactly. It’s more like the client disappeared completely. It’s a good thing I tried contacting him first before sending the articles. At least I can sell these elsewhere. But it’s really too bad, this is a $500 job. I don’t exactly know where to sell them too…
