Don’t forget…our comments contest will end when I log on Thursday morning, November 1st. The person with the most comments since I announced this month’s contest on the 11th, will receive a $25 Amazon gift certificate. Don’t judge it by the standings in the sidebar! This is anyone’s race.
The person who comments the most between November 1st and November 30th will win a one year subscription to Writer’s Digest.
Good luck!

Great contest!
One question–has anyone else mentioned having a problem with viewing your site in the past day or so? Both yesterday and today, I’ve been unable to see your whole page. The bottom half is blacked out.
I can see the site OK, but had the same problem with the cover letter comments page.
I can’t see any comments on the CL comments page either. It says “6 comments” but when I click the comment link, it shows the post and then a blank white space where comments should be.
Guys, I have to tell you, I can see all of the comments on all of the pages. I’ll let Ajay know, though.
I take that back – I have no problem when I use Firefox but I do see issues with IE -
Oh Ajay….
And Opera
I have issues getting into the comment section with the letters myself and I’m on IE, too. I wanted to post with yesterday’s letter but gave up trying. The my, my, my starting every sentence bugged me…
I guess I need to start talking more around here so I can *maybe* come close . . .
I have the problem and I use Safari. Also, the problem only ever seems to happen with the cover letter entries. Never with any other entry. Weird.
well the problem is now fixed. there was a problem with the cover letters post, some improperly formatted code got inserted. i cleaned up the post. its working fine now.
Cheers
The problem happens because when you copy paste the cover letters from email, some html tags and javascript gets inserted which wordpress tries to filter and it ends up messing it up bigtime. I usually copy the text and paste it in notepad, which removes all formatting. and then copy it into wordpress. Works like a charm.
fantastic. I use the copy to notepad copy to wordpress trick too. ♥
Can I just say, Firefox rocks! Ever since I switched over I just keep falling more and more in love with it. At my day job I sometimes view your site (and others) with IE (my company’s intra-net freaks out with anything google-related) and it is always a pleasure to come home and check with Firefox.
- Thanks for the Wordpress tip!
