Hi Jodee-
I’m new here (to both your website and freelance writing in general) and I wanted to thank you for your daily job postings, as they provide a valuable resource and make job hunting a lot easier. I’ve already gotten my first assignment thanks to you and your site! Keep up the GREAT work.

The ad for “Freelance Writers Needed” spam you, so if you were thinking of asking for more information – don’t bother.
I was going to post the same thing as Ann.
Ann,
If you’re referring to the one that is trying to sell a list for $9.95, I got that too. I am always amazed at the type of junk people will think up to sell.
I was going to mention the same thing about Freelance Writers Needed. I love those ads…”I’m going to tell you the secret to untold wealth and throw in a container of water from the Well of Life just for free. Not only will you be rich, you will live forever too.
All this can be yours for only 9.95 but this is a limited time offer.”
Just gets annoying after a while.

That ad looked too vague so I was suspicious. Glad I didn’t send anything! Thanks for the info.
Same here, Amy Ulibarri. I tend to avoid vague ads nowadays after being buried in spam for requesting more information a few times when I first started out.
I don’t want to take people away from Deb’s site, because this is the main place I go every day when looking for jobs and it’s GREAT, but I do want to ask if anyone else goes to other places or knows of other, similar lists of leads. Since the vast majority of jobs are jobs posted on craigslist, more and more leads here are craigslist leads. I don’t have a problem with craigslist and I’ve gotten some great work through it, but they’re never my first-choice site when looking for jobs. Anyone have other suggestions they’d be willing to share?
Carly,
I regularly troll through Craigslist as well, but also search the following site and subscribe to the Morning Coffee freelance job newsletter that comes out every Wednesday morning. I hope you find this useful:
