For all of us newbies out there (I have noticed there are more and more these days here) I have a tip! Linda Formichelli & Diana Burrell, authors of The Renegade Writer:A Totally Unconventional Guide to Freelance Writing Success (2003) and The Renegade Writer’s Query Letters That Rock (2006)
will send you 10 query letter formats for free. All you have to do is send a blank email to:
queries@renegadewriter.com.
These are nice to view in order to refresh your memory, or learn for the first time, how to write a query that a magazine will actually read!
Don’t worry, the email tells you that you are allowed to share this info with as many people as you want, as long you credit them!

“Seeking Bloggers” is just another one of the hundreds of Craigslist postings by Printnpost.net.
And that site is among the thousands I have come across that want you to provide lots of content merely for eventual AdSense revenue (must set up your own account). It takes gazillions of hits to earn the $100 minimum before payout.

I applied to the academic “editors” job and will let you know if it’s a term paper mill or an otherwise unscruptulous venture! From their website, it looks like this is a legitimate company that offers detailed writing feedback– but I’m pretty wary of these kinds of companies.
