The Freelance Writer-Contributor is a non-paying gig.
Good eye, Del. Thank you for pointing this out.
I’ve deleted it.
I have noticed the incease in magazine leads lately. I an not sure if they are due to a market change, or great scouting, but it is wonderful just the same.
Thanks
Don’t forget everyone:

You can vote once per day per computer, so please rack up the votes! Thanks a bunch!
No problem, Jodee. And it was more for FYI in general because you do a fantastic job!
Hi Christine,
I’m trying to anticipate what the visitors to this site are looking for and post accordingly. After doing the leads for awhile, I realized that I hadn’t posted any leads for print work and thought someone may be interested in them too.
I keep trying to find new sites to troll for leads (and I’ve found a few good ones) to give you guys a good mix. From you kind comment, it sounds like I’m on the right track.
Thank you, Del! You are very kind to say that.
Though I’ve yet to find anything that makes sense for me here yet, thanks for adding the print jobs (still where a lot of my work resides).
I’d like to point out that the Federal Application writer sounds like a guy that wants help writing his KSA. That’s the real-world example of writing academic papers for someone. Your KSA is supposed to be the employer’s way of checking out your writing skills – it’s not like a resume that is meant just to highlight your career/education history and skills. While it si ok to get someone else to write your resume, it’s really, really dishonest to have someone else write your KSA. Thought I should comment with that here since some people may not know that.
The freelance psychology writer is actually not a writer job. I think they want a psychologist to treat people by email. Strange.
> I think they want a psychologist to treat people by email.
Wow, a whole new form of spam:
“Having problems with your Oedipus complex? Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? Or perhaps you’re just a little more depressed after your last breakup than you expect. Visit our website today and start enjoying a life of good mental health with no money down, er, working from your own home, um … whatever.

The Utah CEO email bounced for me. Anyone else have that problem?
Erik- haha. Psychologists need to see people in person to observe their affect. But, some medical doctors do treat existing (who’ve been in their office) patients by email now. Mine does. I don’t use that service, but it’s kind of neat.
Jodee,
Thanks for posting the submission guidelines to mags. I keep a file of them, either bookmarked or PDFed. It was nice to add a few.
Email Psychology. Sounds perfect for someone with social anxiety disorder–they never have to leave the house!
Erik,
You’re up against Neil Gaiman?
Since the print stuff seems to be going over well, I’ll be sure to include them often.
Hey guys–a warning. The WRITER/EDITOR job is a scam. I submitted a proposal and got this long, drawn out sales pitch which involved me filling out a form and receiving an email with a link, that led me to a website offering a “membership package” to join a “data entry network”.
I followed through the instructions merely to confirm my own suspicions, and found an added “You gotta be kidding me!” These guys offer a $49.99 basic package which they say they are “sold out” of, so you are “stuck” purchasing a 99 dollar package, which offers “full member benefits” and, oh yeah, the courtesy of continuously billing your credit card every month without your permission.
What is WRONG with these people!
This kinda stuff just burns me up.
I wanted to let ya’ll know!
One love, and thanks again Deb and Jodee for all your hard work!
Alicia
