In case anyone looked at the Viva Travel link. I heard back from them. They claim they never posted the ad, have no idea why it is listed, and instead offer to have you enroll in their upcoming “boot camps” that require you to pay for travel to areas like Ecuador or Argentina and then pay Viva Travel a minimal enrollment fee, and provide two brand new articles (hotel, travel, or restaurant themed) for their website site.
I think what bothers me most is that the email states they currently have no open writing opinions, but when I clicked on their link for job postings right within their website, they have information posted on applying for writing and editing jobs. So it may all be a ploy to get people to sign up for their writing boot camps.
