Judging from the way the “Press Release for a Corporation” is set up and written, I think it’s yet another example of those super-spammy ads that get plastered all over Craig’s List.
Yes, I noticed that too Melissa! Don’t they know when to let up?
Hi,
I just wanted to point something out about Demand Studios. I sent an application to them awhile back and they offered me an assignment recently, $100 for $10 articles. Luckily, I have a lot of decent paying assignments on my roster right now so I won’t be accepting the assignment. They said pay could increase after initial assignments, but I can’t see it ever being much more. There are certain templates and formats you have to follow for each how-to article, and I can see it ending up taking more than an hour to do each assignment, no matter how good of a writer you are. I hope there aren’t a lot of writers out there who think they need to take these low-paying assignments to gain clips!
Since there have been so many posted lately, can I ask a question about print publications?
I have found several I would like to query. The problem is they all want clips. Most want queries and clips mailed (as in snail mail). All of my work is online. Any way around this?
