I just found out I’m in the running for a 2007 Weblog Award for best individual blogger.
I wouldn’t mind a vote? I don’t have much of chance, but I’d like to look as if at someone loves me. You can vote once every 24 hours.
One of the regulars, Erik Hare, is up for Best Literature Blog. Won’t you show him some love too?
Thanks!

As of now, 33 people love you.
I was one of them, too!
While you’re at it, I’d love to have a vote or several for “Best Literature Blog”. Thanks!

Erik,
I just voted for you and commented in the other thread, but I think it bears repeating: you’re up against Neil Gaiman???????????
and my husband’s blog is up for best law blog – please vote for him too. “How Appealing” vote for him at: http://2007.weblogawards.org/polls/best-law-blog-1.php

I voted! And I challenge all the people who visit here to do the same!
Done!
44 people love you, deborah!
I just brought the count up to 45
People love you!
Wow Eric, I’ve never looked at your blog before. It’s really interesting!
I voted for you, Deb. Can’t wait to see you in Vegas!
Deb,
In my mind, there is no question that you should win that contest.
Congrats!
Deb, thanks for the headline mention! I really appreciate it! I s’pose I need to get you in on my blog, too!

Well, Amy, I have no idea who that is, but I looked everything over and his stuff seemed pretty typical to me. This is why I hate “competitions”. I’ve been joking all day, “What is this, some kind of .. popularity contest? Oh, wait ..”
Usually, I do things my own way and don’t worry about it. Some of my fans got me into this mess, but I am trying to see what I can git for votes. Will I win? I dunno, I have no idea what the competition is like.
Unless it’s a different Neil Gaiman, he’s a best selling author. He wrote Smoke & Mirrors, Neverwhere and a bunch of other books.
Deb,
As of now you are at 77!!! I love this blog…and maybe we will pull out a victory!
I’m vote number 79!
And Erik, I’m vote number 26 for you!
YAY! Good luck to both of you!
Done!
Thanks, everyone.
Amy, I wouldn’t know what’s popular. I don’t really pay attention to stuff like that. I guess he’ll be hard to beat, then. Oh well. It was a fun idea when Janine et al put me up to this. I’ll still have fun with it (as I have fun with everything!).
Deb,
Showin’ my love by pushing you up to 112.
Good Luck. I enjoy your site every day.
Jeff
You know, if everyone who visits this blog votes once a day until the awards on Thursday, Deb will win. Won’t you give something back to the woman who gave us this great blog?
Go Deb Go!!!
You’re not top yet, but with one vote per day I’m sure we can get you there!!!
(congrats to everyone else as well)
I clicked the link to vote for Deb and Erik, but got something that seemed unrelated. Thoughts?
Got it figured out, Deb and Erik have my votes
Congrats from a nominee in the Health category – and also a lurker here! I’m very excited … and now I guess I’m not a lurker anymore
(PS – I voted)
I voted for “y’all” here. Janice, you’re husband is kicking butt!!
Erik,
I’d be honored just to run against someone well known. But I hope you win. It looks like it could be a pretty close race.
go deb go deb!
Amy:
I don’t know much about fame. Now infamy, that I can relate to.
