    I was thinking about Thanksgiving today. Not necessarily about turkey and mashed potatoes, but more about how each year life gets better and better.  I don’t want to bore you too much, but here are a few things I’m thankful for this year. To be honest, I wasn’t sure if I should continue to post weekly letters. My poll tells me you really don’t like reading the reader mail, yet I received a flood of emails requesting I continue because it’s one of your favorite reasons to visit. I’ll just throw this out there and see what happens. I usually get one or two letters a month regarding my last name and heritage. When I was at Blog World Expo last week, I had the pleasure of sitting in on Jim Turner and Tris Hussey’s talk about hiring bloggers – and working as a problogger. So I got a nice note from Kristen over at Freelance Switch, which, as you all know, I consider an awesome resource. Anyway, Kristen gave FWJ – especially our cover letter clinic – a very nice plug in their podcast.  The site and the podcasts have a little something of interest to all freelancers and I recommend you give them a whirl. The difference between a blog and a traditional website is that blogs are about community. They’re about carrying on an open-ended conversation and making it about the readers. My blog isn’t for me as much as it is for you.
