I thought I’d check in and let you guys know I have had a TON of very talented people apply and it is going to be a very hard decision to make. I also thought I’d answer some FAQs I have been getting.

1. Blog frequency – I am looking for 2-3 posts per week to start.

2. Topics – I will suggest the topics and my blogger will be expected to run with it.

3. Keywords – I really don’t care for “keyword” articles. I’d rather have blog posts that are interesting for humans to read (instead of Google bots).

4. Pay – Pay is negotiable. It’s natural that I want the most for my money but on the flip side of that, I want a HAPPY writer. If you have a pay rate in mind, please tell me. And don’t quote me the minimum you will accept. Instead, quote me what you are comfortable with and what you feel you are worth.

5. Resume/cover letter issues – If your resume will not showcase your strengths, you can write a sample blog post instead. Some of you have expressed feeling intimidated because I am a resume writer. Well, that’s just silly. If people didn’t suck at writing resumes, I wouldn’t have a job lol!

I think that about covers it for now.

I applied for this since I am currently an HR Manager. I just wanted to say I was very impressed that the potential client let me know she had received my materials and thanked me for applying within less than an hour of me sending out my information to her. Even if I don’t get the gig, I am very impressed with her professionalism and I have no doubt she will be great to work with.
