    Thanks, Deb!

That would be super appreciated. I just applied for the position. It looks like a nice blogging opportunity. Thanks so much for passing it on.

I work for Hart on the Battling Diabetes blog. I can vouch for Hart and being one of the nicest clients I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. He is always there if you have any questions, just a great guy to work with.

  3. Thanks Julie :)

And, speaking of “if you have any questions” .. feel free to either ask them in here (I’m now subscribed to this thread and will get email notice) or contact me directly if you prefer to keep it offline.

And Deb .. I would be glad to provide feedback afterwards .. I think that is a great idea and can only benefit everybody – people hiring and people looking to be hired.

  4. Hi Deb and everybody .. just wanted to give an update on this blog entry – I am reviewing all the applications tonight, and will be making a final decision tomorrow some time!

Thanks to all who has applied! Take care // HART

Absolutely no disrespect intended. These (cancer and alzheimers) blogging jobs seem to be on the low end of the payscale. When I first started looking at this site, there was much discussion about writers and the $5.00 job. Well, this is about a $6.00 job according to my calculations. $125/mo for 22 articles (2 of which are to be 800 words). So, is it that the rate of pay increases? That there is potential for profit sharing or that as Julie says, he’s a great guy to work for. I am just trying to understand this whole blogging world. Thanks for helping a newbie :) Maybe you should just email me directly instead of posting this. I really don’t mean to be negative, i just want to understand.

  6. Actually, my $125 rate is based on $5 per post for the daily ones .. and $25 for the two resourcefull type blog posts.

The rate of pay increases with experience and time (aka meaning loyalty to the blog) as I am adding $25 extra to the minimum every 3 months. These are health blogs and I think efforts can be rewarded for hard work and promotion and sharing revenue levels will be achievable.

I hope I’m not perceived as a negative person or cheapskate .. but, I’m struggling to make ends meet just like you. While you can get just go out and get another freelance job or multiple jobs – I am basically working with a person from scratch and investing in that writer who could leave pretty much at little notice and I have to start all over.

I promised Deb I would come back in the next few weeks to offer thoughts about my selection process, however you might have to find other freelance writers and ask them about the percieved value of this position.

You are not being negative, as these are good questions. However – you said it yourself. You are a newbie, ne to blogging – how much do you think you are worth to people like me?

Rock On...
