A bit late, but I've written for Growing Wealth before. I was paid $250 for a 1,200 word feature, which is about $0.21 per word. They're a very freelancer-friendly magazine, and I was able to choose my topic from their calendar/list. They expect very high quality, and there's definitely an opportunity to score higher-paying features. Three months after my article was published, their website still holds my photo and links back to my site, which I appreciate.
