I hear Deb on the mortgage due back to reality… After taking a few days off for my birthday, I planned to get back to work yesterday but then was offered my neighbor (pseudo-son’s) newborn son for the day. Apparently, he and his girlfriend decided to take me up on my “you are both still teens so don’t forget that” offer and wanted someone to take their son for the day while they went to the movies.
Given the choice of a lovely, powdering smelling newborn or work – I opted for the baby.
It is back to work today though…
The green and organic website job doesn’t pay
Hi Deb,
I read your job listings and blogs religiously — thanks so much! I’m a seasoned editor and writer but new to freelancing, so it helps me see what’s available out there.
What’s your policy on listing jobs that are posted on sites where you have to pay for a subscription? The second post today (freelance writing projects) links to Virtual Vocations but I can’t even get information about the potential client without paying them money.
Thanks again for your site.

I am very appreciative of your site as it has helped me transition from an office job where I was only writing on the weekends to a full time freelance life.
I am still learning to juggle all the balls but your links and articles have really helped numerous times.
I’m so new to having a website… can anyone tell me what this “Scratchback” thing is and do I need it?
For a 45 year old gal, I’m a novice at the techno stuff…
Hey, I’m glad to see some copywriting gigs up here!
Wow, lot of game-related gigs today! Good show! I’m a writer who’s also a geek, so this is makin me happy.
Hi!
Just wanted to say that this site is fantastic. I check a lot of freelance job sites and this is the most comprehensive one that I’ve found to-date.
Thank you!~
