I applied for the job but, in retrospect, would not have. To me, that request is nothing short of insulting. Don't assume that all writers suffer from the George O'Leary Syndrome. When I worked for a company, the company told me how much the job pays, period. There were some free-lance positions when we negotiated, but they were always within union scale flexibility. When someone here tell me to tell them how much I want, I know I am now engaged in low-balling in order to get the job. So, ignoble is that approach by a prospective employer I no longer respond to such ads. But, like I said, maybe its me. Bob H. Compensation:
