@Blair - That's odd. I got a form email back and it was perfectly fine. Maybe they fixed the message since the time you got yours?

>>>>>Today.com. I was offered two blogging jobs from them, both $150 a month. The person who responded, however, wrote like a two year old. The email was one giant sentence and hardly made sense. I had to read it twice just to figure out what it said.

Re: Craigslist-

It takes more than one flag to get a post removed. If I remember it correctly, when I asked them at one point, they said it takes about six to have an entry become flagged. Once flagged, their team then can go in and read all future ads from that person before they are approved to make sure they meet the requirements listed.

I am blogging at Today.com; it seems like it's a start up plan for $5.00. If you do well, get traffic and follow the rules, they'll keep you on board.

@Dan - I know three writers working for Today.com. They all swear they get their checks on time every month. I applied for a position today and was accepted within 2 hours, so I'll report back in the future and let everybody know how it works out.

The pregnancy blogger (b5) has already been filled. That was fast!

I think CL should have it set up where a certain number of flaggings will remove a post. Right now I think it's just one, but I could be wrong.

One, I noted was marked as "deleted by author," which is an entirely different thing. There, I assume they found someone, or changed their mind or something.

No, the flaggings are people trying to keep other people from seeing the job opportunities, and it's poisoning the well. Craigslist really needs to tighten their flagging procedures to help make sure there's some legitimate reason for removing an ad. As things stand, it's not a terribly useful resource for finding freelancers.
