I've used everything from Remember the Milk, a desk calendar, a wall calendar, Google, Outlook, what have you. I've found that keeping myself organized is easiest when the "list" is where I can see it - unless I'm on the computer ALL day, or have Google up ALL day, I don't see it. I prefer the cheap and simple - a spiral-bound notebook and a binder with paper. Instead of buying a more expensive 3 or 5 subject notebook, I use sticky notes to separate topics...pretty archaic, but it works for me.

BTW, Deb, love the accent!

I actually created more of a spreadsheet for managing my blog planning - I use Google Docs so I have a central copy wherever I am (between work and home computers). Makes it so easy to cut and paste when I need to - I don't think I'll ever go back to paper.

I use Google Calendar for other things like appointments.

Malie, I also use Outlook and synchronise it with my phone, for the same reasons. I find the two so useful in managing my contacts, schedule and notes/documents.

Hi, Deb - I've gotten used to the Outlook 2007 calendar. I like to be able to access and view everything in one centralized place - my email, my calendar with deadlines/notes, and contact info for clients/friends/family. I also prefer to use this method b/c all this info can be downloaded into my phone, which makes it even easier when I'm on the road and my laptop's too bulky to carry.

Although I do use Google Calendar for some things, I actually use Side Job Track to keep track of my jobs. I like that a bit better, because it also helps me keep track of how much I'm making, and it makes invoices, too. And it's free, so you can't go wrong there.

Deb, kudos on video! I took my first video adventure a few months ago and it was hilarious! I have a PDA, and use Google but keep resorting to pencil and paper. There is something about writing it down that is much more appealing. I have a wall calendar and a white board (well silver actually) that I use to keep track. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to more video. ;-)

Great! I totally need to do that. I always want to blog daily, yet never seem to be able to keep it up. Thursday Bram told me about this idea too before. Guess I need to get crackin'!

I may use iCal though instead.

Majorie,

The nice thing about Google is that it uses multiple colors, which may help juggle different calendars. I wish Yahoo! offered that. A client has me use Google and the way it's set up precludes me from using that Google account for other calendars. I could get another Google account, but haven't seen the need to move yet.

Greetings! I use Mozilla Thunderbird for mail and its sister app Lightning for calendar. Together, they work just like MS Outlook, but it's FREE and far more stable IMHO.

Because I don't have a PDA and actually prefer to walk around with a paper calendar, I have a small Franklin Covey organizer.

I've been toying with the idea of using Google's calendar as a household calendar, but haven't really implemented it. I'm not really crazy about juggling multiple calendars anyway.

Cheers,
Marjorie

Deb,

Pre-Internet, we used something like that as a family calendar, but now use Yahoo! Calendar. Google's calendar has some advantages, but we started with Yahoo!. I tend to use it for personal and business so I don't have to juggle two calendars.
