Wow! What a list! I believe this is the longest list I have seen here yet! Thanks!
@ Cindy: You’re welcome.
Thanks for the list Jodee – I want to give you a heads up on the parenting writer wanted listing. I sent my info and got an autoresponse to fill out an form on-line. At the end of the form is listed the compensation.
Their idea of great compensation is “Articles that are submitted will be reviewed by our marketing department and posted with credit given to the author. Compensation will be exposure and advertising on our site with a free directory listing (value of $200.00/yr)”
wish I could get the contact info for the MTV Networks jobs, but you have to sign up and pay for a subscription to the website hosting the job posting!
Is anyone else having a problem getting the proofreading job to load? All I get is a Page Can’t Be Displayed message.
I saw that too. Also, have noticed and unfornately have had experience with some of the forms when I first started freelancing that asked if you were interested in finding out about education. I had clicked no, but because my number was listed on the form, I got several spam calls that took forever for them to stop.
Thank you for having the list up so early and so much to offer! I get to the computer around this time in the morning and it is really great to have a cup of coffee and look at this site. Thanks for all the great work you do for us freelancers!
I agree with Shells. Love being able to wake up with this blog. It gets me into a working frame of mind, even if there are no leads that are for me. It is always my first stop.
Thanks for your hard work.
I just got an email back (after waking from a nap) with the same thing about the parenting writer post. It sure sounded good until that!
They should have posted that on their Craigslist post to begin with.
Ugh. Just got the parenting e-mail, too.
Since it is not a paying gig, I’m going to flag it as “miscategorized”
I applied to the parenting one too and was going to point out the compensation as well. I think I will be passing that one by.
Jodee, thanks for such a long list of leads! Congrats on the new gig, too.
Oh, and for the parenting one, when they wrote “value of $200/yr” they forgot to add “for us, for you zilch!”
Thanks for the great list Jodee! There’s a couple here I’m going to apply for.
