I posted this contest because all entrants are paid $5 for accepted submissions – And you can enter as often as you like so if you have brilliant headlines for many of the day’s top entertainment stories, you can submit headlines for each item. Keep in mind that you won’t get paid or accepted for submitting something really bad – but every funny, quality headline will get $5 and bring you one step closer to winning $500. One line for $5 isn’t such a bad thing…You submit one for each news story you come across you could make over $100 a day.
Here are the details:
In the month of June, Glamorati is sponsoring a headline writing contest. Participants will receive $5 for each published submission and the grand prize is $500 which goes to the contestant with the most number of points (published submissions = 10 points and comments on the site = 1 point)
Here are the rules:
First, you must register here:
http://www.glamorati.com/wp-login.php?action=register
Next, you should look for fun or interesting Pop Culture articles on the internet and come up with an alternative funny/sarcastic/witty headline.
Once you’re registered and logged on, you can submit the link with your re-written headline here:
http://www.glamorati.com/story-submission-form/
Here’s an example:
Let’s say I visit PopCrunch and find the following article:
"Pete Wentz Ashlee Simpson Baby Registry Babies ‘R’ Us"
The next step would be to come up with a funny/witty alternative headline:
"9 out of 10 Celebrities With Baby Bumps Prefer Babies ‘R’ Us"
Then, you’d go over to Glamorati and submit the original URL with your new headline. It’s that simple.
Each published submission earns the contestant 10 points and each published comment at the site earns the contestant 1 point. The contestant with the most number of points on June 30th wins the $500 prize.

That looks like a fun contest.
I might have to give it a shot.
Love that idea. It’s cool, gets some traffic for a site and gives writers a chance to do something that will (hopefully) get their creative juices a’flowing!
Has anyone else had trouble signing up? I’ve tried with AOL, Hotmail and GMail addresses and had no reply.
And as if by magic! I’ve just had a reply in my GMail spam folder. No sign in the inbox or spam folders on AOL or Hotmail.
I’m still checking my gmail spam folder – nada
Just an FYI – They’re overwhelmed with submissions so it might take a little while to sort things out – but don’t let that stop you from continuing to submit headlines. And while you’re there, visit the blog. I hear tell it’s written by a very cool person.
Yes, that blog is written by a very cool person.
Do we know how many a day they plan to publish?
Got my email, got my profile set up, submitted a few headlines – but I didn’t see any requested information in the profile or registration about an address or paypal email for payment. Can y’all fill us in on the payment info – I couldn’t find anything on the site.
Rather ironic. The system gets flooded with more requests than it can hand (it happens); and to make matters worse, anxious people decide to sign up 5 and 6 times, which just adds to the backlog.
