Just applied for the English language consultant position. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Keep up the excellent work… have a great weekend, Deb and Jodee.

    Hi, Jodee,
The content writer position doesn’t have a lot of information listed. mmm…Any idea as to why?

    Thanks!

Re: Content Writers for Online Magazine:

I’ve already heard back from the guy and immediately had more questions. The pay rate was RS 1000 for 20 articles of 250 words each. He wants you to rewrite articles you find online. At first, I had no idea what RS was, but it is Indian Rupees. I have no idea why a North American magazine is paying in Rupees, but that is a red flag to me.

  4. Dorit Sasson Says:

Thanks Ann G! That was fast.

  5. Ugur Says:

In case anyone wonders… RS1000 is $24 USD (Twenty Four US Dollars). So it comes to $1.2 (one point two) per article…

  6. Amelia Says:

    Rupees?? That’s odd!

  7. Jodee Says:

Is is the ad listed as “Content Writer Wanted” (eight down from the top)?

  8. Dorit Sasson Says:

    Yes it is.

  9. Jodee Says:

Thanks, guys. I just worked some magic and made this one disappear.

  10. Bridget Says:

No, it wasn’t #8 from the top. It was the one that says Content Writers for Online Magazine, a little further down.

    Hi Jodee,

I would like to make a suggestion for an article. I just always think it is like it was in high school and college - if you have a question, others also have that question in their minds. I’m always looking for writing job ops, like everyone else here. But, my staple is the network article/blog jobs I’ve found that actually pay. Adsense, has not been worth the trouble for me - so am not interested in adsense pay for writing. I have just a couple of internet places that actually pay for articles - that gives me some kind of income (sometimes small that it is) coming in all of the time.

I would love a review of paying sites that actually pay per article/blog. In investigating places myself, I’ve found it sometimes difficult to find how much they actually pay, even when they advertise that they pay per post. Anyway, a review would be great. Is this a possiblity?

  12. Ann G. Says:

@Jodee- it is 24th down (if I counted right).

  13. Jodee Says:

@ Bridget and Ann G.: I also have “Do Over” powers, thank goodness! I’ve replaced the first one and deleted the right one this time.

@ Karen: Of course you can make a suggestion. I keep lists of things people are asking about so I can address them. Just to clarify, are you looking for places to submit your work and get paid once, or ones that offer some kind of residual income? Or do you want to know about developing your own information products for sale? (I might just have opened a big can of worms here!)

I grew up in South Texas. For those curious, Aransas Pass is located about 20 miles northeast of Corpus Christi. Great place to go if you love fishing. Gorgeous place

Corpus has one of my all-time favorite street names: South Padre Island Drive (or S.P.I.D., as South Texans like to call it).

  15. Hayli Says:

Hey, you always say to let you know when we get a job, and I just got the Online Company Needs Strong Copywriter job! She was looking for a fast hire for four 200-word career articles/month and I already do similar articles, so got hired! Thanks!

  16. Jodee Says:

@ Hayli: That’s great news! Thank you so much for sharing it with us!

  17. Amanda Nicole Says:

    Congrats Hayli!

  18. Karen Says:

    Jodee,

I like all of the choices you mentioned. I already have found, through hours of searching, some networks paying for articles on an on-going basis as well as other ways of making money writing.

For example, I started with Hubpages. Love their program, but (oh, my gosh) no money to speak of in adsense shares. A year ago I joined Helium and at the time thought even less of them. However, now I make a bit of money on their contests and marketplace. It’s a good choice for beginners, because if you sell to a client on marketplace, wait a month or so and then google your name and article title to see who purchased it - now you have clips for a portfolio. I joined Today.com when you posted it here on your site ($5 per small article). I do it every morning, first thing and by the end of the month, I have $150. Associated Content buy’s first run articles(pay is low but can add up by the end of the month) - you also get so much per hit. Or they take sedond run articles for hits only. Demand Studios pays $15 an article, but their topics to pick from are pretty lousy. Just joined Constant Content and will be putting up articles that clients will by for complete rights or just use rights.

That is everything I’m doing. I have yet to get anything outside of these, like the ones you advertise. Most times I don’t get a response back. But, I keep trying.

Anyway, I’m happy to share those. I’ve spent hours finding them. However, I would like more $15 dollar articles and less $5 articles. So, that’s what I’m interested it. Yet, “Information Products for Sale” sounds interesting if there was a place to to learn as a newby.

    Thanks,
    Karen

Sorry, just saw three typos - I hate when you can’t go back and correct.
