Thanks for everyone’s comments – this is only my short list of factors that can sabotage your writing efforts. I could come up with another 10 that I actively participate in but I would be wasting more time! Yes, I know, stop goofing off and get writing!

What about the TV and DVD factor?

I sat in a stunned silence for ten minutes today thinking, “Should I spend a half hour marketing or can I watch Battlestar Galactica.”

Add to my personal list: the computer games factor.

And, I would replace the kid factor with the dog factor. I’m childless, but my pup might as well be a little kiddie. He’s a fan of working his way between my laptop and my hands when needy and wanting attention.

Weather Factor – how very, very true. After three days of 90s and humidity levels of 65% or higher, it’s 72 outside, breezy and not a cloud in the sky.

I got up at 5 a.m. just so that I could have the afternoon to enjoy the weather!
