Kreacher – Thanks! My thoughts were to have one day be for “Avenue” and the other day for “Corner,” but truly it’s up to Deb on whether she wants two or one.

Either way it should be fun and interesting. There is a lot of information, data and news to be mined from both topics.

I think you did a great job on both the slant of your post as well as hooking your readers.

Both niches are relevant to us, and I think it would be interesting to take a poll to see what readers in the FWJ focus on.

I myself maintain two ‘personas.’ My writing business is broken down into two distinct segments, and I maintain separate websites for both my corporate clients and my literary/publication pursuits.

My preference would be that you keep both aspects, and I really like Dani’s idea of focusing on each respectively in alternate posts.

Aurora – Your name makes me think of She-Ra, one of my all time fav cartoons. She was He-Man’s twin sister and her name was Aurora. Thanks for the kind words.

I like both of these ideas, though I’m partial to Article Avenue. That’s for purely selfish reasons, though. I don’t know what the rest of FWJ would rather see. I think you have a good mix of article ideas for new and veteran writers, which will help build the community here.

I think both niches would be very welcome here at FWJ – and if you make it to the top we can discuss which one you would like to write most.

As for a Q&A, I love Q&A’s so much I’m planning on starting our weekly Q&A again here – and already have a bunch of letters for this weekend. I’m also going to have Q&A’s with experts in various niches and people who hire writers. Getting our questions answered is always a good thing.

Thank you for this post. I like the idea of learning more in both the Article Avenue and Corporate Corner areas of writing. I appreciate the fact that you provided a few topics on both that you will cover, while leaving yourself open to additional topics whether it is via Question and Answers or based on more of your experience.

It sounds to me like you would be an excellent addition to the FWJ team.

Many years ago I walked down Article Avenue, and oddly enough I never returned. I adore what I do, but I also would be keen to learn more about this sect and learn from other’s experiences. I have never entered Corporate Corner, but like Kori, press releases do interest me. I have spent years stripping away the PR to get to the real story, it would be awesome to learn more about the PR writing style.

If you were hired to offer tips and advice about the ideas and topics you expressed in your post, you’d definitely have me onboard as a reader of your posts. You have my vote this week. Good luck!

Very creative presentation! If I recall correctly, the job is for two posts a week, so Article Avenue and Corporate Corner could each get one post a week. Pretty clever – and a great way to keep things interesting for you while still being very helpful to the community.

Writing press releases is interesting work. It’s like selling without the rah-rah. It has a vibe like articles where you are trying to find the right audience for the information, then you are crafting the message with what you want the audience to do. But the format is more structured, it’s a nice change up for most.

I find myself on Article Avenue more often than in the Corporate Corner. However, the corporate stuff, particularly press releases, interests me. I have limited experience writing them and often wonder more about it all.

Evan: Tough question. I do them interchangeably so I’m comfortable with both. Hmm I don’t know if I could pick. I love interviewing people and crafting artcles, but I also love working with companies to deliver product…

Looking forward to Q&A. Most of my Qs are for when I get outside my niche. Though I also have several about how to deal with teens (I have two).
