Article of approximately 1500 words (doesn’t have to be exact) on the hazards of being an over-protective parent. In terms of the parent jumping in, to rescue the child from every potential conflict or “danger.” One book, Blessings of a Skin Knee is a good resource. Article should draw from other literature on the emotional/psychosocial/psychological issues and pitfalls of over smothering. A bit of humor is always, nice, but not looking for fluffy–rather, the piece should build a good, clear logical case. Thank you for your interest.

Clearly it is time for me to get new glasses, since at first glance I thought the title of this post said over-productive rather than over-protective.
All the kids in my house have fur and tall ears, so I’m not qualified to write this one, but I do think it would be an interesting article to read. 
My mother needs to read this one.
