Good morning FWJ Friends! It’s then end of another week and I’ve got leads for journalists, real estate writers, and copy writers this morning. There are multiple opps for technical writers and a couple of internships available.

Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. Thanks for the leads Jodee. Have a great weekend!

  2. Thanks Jodee! These are some great leads today– perfect way to end the week! :)

  3. Have a great weekend!!

  4. Thanks for the leads Jodee. I actually applied to the erotic article writing position, I think it would be a fun and challenging gig to have. I will let you all know if it works out, but I am not holding my breath LOL.

I also was wondering how many other people thought as I do when a seemingly legit lead is yanked off Craigslist. I personally think that people who want the position flag the ad to have it removed from the site, thus limiting the amount of competition for the job. Am I just being paranoid?

  5. The Relationship/Family gig has already been pulled by the poster. At $0.20 per word, they were probably flooded with replies!
    Thanks Jodee!

  6. I’ve notice the flagging on Craigslist goes in waves. Some days there’ll be maybe one flagged, others 3-4 when I check them early in the morning. It does kind of make me think it’s someone looking to cut the competition, but that’s just my speculation.

  7. I never thought of someone flagging it to cut out the competition.. sneaky and crummy!

I was sad the relationship/family gig was already gone!

Thanks for the leads! Great as always…

    Have a great weekend!

  8. The Comedy writer sounds a bit odd, and funny.

  9. Did anyone else apply for the picnic basket company blog gig? Somebody got back to me. They’re paying $20 per post and need, maybe, three posts a month but told me that it would likely be divided among writers.

I know you’re not supposed to interpret tone in emails, but both of her emails were unnecessarily harsh and snotty. I felt like I was being dictated to by my mean third grade teacher.

Why would a writer invest time in a company, get to know it’s products etc. for what turns out to be $20 a month??

    Sorry, just needed to vent.

    Wendy

  10. Bummer that the relationship/family job went so fast! It was pulled by the author, not flagged, but the flagging thing really is a crummy idea.

Thanks for the leads, Jodee… got a couple more applications in this time.

  11. Where have you been all my life Jodee? Seriously, thanks for the great posts and information. Though I have only recently discovered it, FWJ has already been and will continue to be essential to help fuel my writing career. Thanks again.

    Kevin

  12. @ Kevin: I’m glad you are finding the information we have here at FWJ helpful. Looking forward to reading your comments. :D

  13. Good afternoon, Ladies! I just wanted to thank you for a WONDERFUL site. I found you through a Web site my former internship boss sent me to for freelance writing links. I am a non-traditional college student. I graduated in May with my BA in English and am 37. I’ve always enjoyed writing. I’m working a part-time job now and thought freelancing could help with the bills.

Again, WONDERFUL site. I’m coming here daily looking at what you’ve found.
