FWJ Community Outreach Project: Brag Your Blogs

In the past couple of days I’ve been asked to add blogs to our blogroll and to my RSS feed for consideration in my weekend link love posts. I’m always happy to read other blogs, so that’s never a problem. I also like to help other bloggers to get started.  So here it is, I’m giving you a chance to brang your blogs. Have links you want to share with the FWJ community? Go ahead and post them in the comments.

I’ll start:

Feel free to visit me at the BlogTalkRadio blog.

Also, my sister and I (and a couple of friends) have a food blog called Cookerati geared towards the home cook – nothing fancy but it’s all good.

Your turn! Brag your blogs below.

  13. Hello. My name is Seth Horowitz and am currently living in Las Vegas. I started my own website in December of 2006 while I was recovering from my second spinal cord surgery. It contains my bio, pics, video clips and my poems on there. I made it to help reach out and inspire people with disabilities to move on with their lives. Ironically, it has also inspired people who do not even have any disabilities to move on with their lives. I have had over 2500 hits and also talk about a variety of different topics and issues. Please stop by and let me know what you think as I am always looking for ways to improve on it. Plus need suggestions on how I could maybe make some money writing or through use of my site as I am currently looking to get back to teaching. Thanks for reading this and have a great day!

  14. Mike says:

I started my blog as an extension of my Christian writing. I’ve always been kind of a Bible/history geek and in my regular life, people from my church, and others who know of my faith ask me a lot of questions about the Bible (who’s who, doctrine etc.) So, I started http://www.armchairapologist.wordpress.com

  15. Wow, what a crowd! I usually blog about writing (including finding article ideas, marketing yourself, dealing with editors and dealin with rejection). But recently I made a personal departure to blog about MSA (Multiple System Atrophy) in the hopes of raising more awareness about the disease. I’d love for FWJ readers to stop by!

I have an assortment of bloggage; some are rants and some have actual themes which range from self-educating to earth-based spirituality.
I use this site as a hub:

    http://www.terraethereal.com

Thanks for the opportunity for shameless self-promotion.

(One blog from that site, Akorn Hollo, which is about simple, green living, actually got me my first paid blogging gig about a week ago through a bidding site.)

    *slinks back to the shadows*

Wow! I’m obviously pulling up the end of the line here but all the same, I shall now Brag my Blog.
My blog http://the-secret-law-of-attraction.com is, well, all about the law of attraction. I am a freelance writer, struggling to get by, with desires of becoming a singer, and so, my blog is about my journey to do so using the law of attraction.
I hope for it to eventually become something which other people can use as a template on their own journeys, because I write about everything and am very honest, i.e. when I’m broke, I say so, when I’m feeling crappy, I say so.
So, that’s me, and that’s my blog.

  21. Janine Gorwitz says:

I just want to second how incredibly good Erik Hare’s new blog Barataria is. It’s a bit challenging, but if you like to get something to think about every morning it’s the place to go.

Hi! This is so awesome. Can’t wait to check out all of your blogs. Here are mine:

Write Out Loud – Recently started this writing blog with a focus on encouraging hesitant writers to get their stuff out there.

  23. Brian says:

Whew! Late to the party, I guess.

I’ve got three good blogs going.

My freelance writers blog at http://www.arcticllama.com/blog provides information for freelance writers, aspiring freelance writers, and the people who hire them, as well as general writing stuff.

My blog for real men, real dads called Undefeated Daddy is my way of filling what seems to be the enormous gap in information for regular guys who want to be more than an average dad, without heading down the road to beads, drums, and names with nature words in them.

My personal finance blog is jammed with information for the real world from a real world financial advisor (a good one). Right now it is linked with FinanceGourmet.com which is a static site. I’m rebuilding it as we speak to be all blog.

  24. I have a blog at ThursdayBram.com that focuses on the business side of freelance writing — taxes, contracts and that sort of stuff.

I’m also in the process of starting up a new blog at SoloMode.com, covering one-of-a-kind fashion.

  25. raquel says:

Parenting and health are my favorite topics. This is where I blog with several mommies and daddies:
    http://blogs.babiesonline.com/

I’m also part of the battling-for-health team, with focus on heart disease and stroke:
    http://heart.battlingforhealth.com/

  26. Aurora says:

My blog is mostly about my own writing (Internet & technology). I did start out writing about family, life, and general topics of interest, but I seem to just post my own work more than anything else. :)

    http://novascotiagirl.wordpress.com/

I’ve found some excellent reading in this page of blog links – Thanks!

  27. Get Paid To Write Online offers straight talk about freelance writing. I share the ups and downs of the writing life, give practical advice on getting work and dealing with clients, and much more. I’ve been writing for a long time and I hope my blog encourages other writers to take the plunge if they want to freelance.

  28. Lori says:

I recently started my first blog, largely inspired by this website, so thank you Dec & Jodee! It is http://greengigs.blogspot.com/ and lists telecommuting jobs for “green” jobs, writing and beyond.

  33. Thanks for the Brag your blog opportunity Deb. My blog http://fishwithoutbicycle.blogspot.com is about…well me!! How narcissistic that sounds. I just blog for fun as much as I can, although my real job gets in the way. I’m quite new to your blog, but I love the insight it provides.

    Cheers,
    Fish

  34. Jay says:

I have two blogs that are nearly a year old: http://www.buddhaandsasha.blogspot.com is an eclectic assortment of what’s on my mind, from affordable gift ideas (the holidays will be here before we know it!) to current events to my latest priority, getting my high school senior into college; and http://www.thedocdidnttellme.blogspot.com about my are-you-kidding-me?-style liver transplant experience in Dec. 2006 and its impact on my life now. I started “What the Doc Didn’t Tell Me” to help a specific community – people with Hepatitis C and/or undergoing a liver transplant – because it’s been so hard to get answers to my questions (the docs just don’t tell you everything you need or want to know). If you’re reading this and know someone who could benefit from additional info, please share my blog with them. Thank you for the chance to brag my blogs.
