Hi Chris, That is indeed a plug in. I was so annoyed at finding my content on other blogs I decided to take steps to nip it in the bud. The plugin is called Feed Footer and you can download it at no charge.

So, I do read via RSS and I’m wondering about your bit at the end of the RSS post, “I am a content thief. If you’re not reading this blog post through an RSS Feed you can pretty much assume I’m a slimy spam blogger and stealing content from someone else’s blog.”

How do you get that to show up in the RSS feed and not in the regular post? Is it a plug in? I use WordPress myself and that is a great feature.

Rupa — If you are doing various kinds of projects for a client, I would draw up a contract for each individual project. Each contract would need to include its own specific rate agreements, project specifications, deadlines, what is included and what isn’t, etc. Both parties would agree and sign. Thanks Jodee for your efforts & this great list. Love the variety! I landed two offers from here a couple of weeks ago. Not sure if you got my note of thanks. Thanks so much. I also keep coming back here to read older posts & informative tips.

A question about contracts – would really appreciate any suggestions / advice. I have signed contracts in the past that were drafted by the client for their freelance writers. Now, I am in a situation where I need to draft one since the client says he has never hired freelancers before. I learnt from a lot of you here about the risk of working without one so I definitely want to draw up a contract. How do I go about creating a contract from a writer’s perspective? I know it should basically have the rate, type of work etc, but how do I accommodate flexibility? For example, I want to be able to include both per project & per hour rates. I want to mention that certain types of revision will be included in the fee while certain others will be charged extra. The work with this client will invilve a range of writing – from emails to web site to blogs. I have only been freelancing for about 6 months so all this still feels very new. Appreciate any suggestions you have. Thank you!

I always forget to mention when I get clients from this site. I landed four good gigs in the last two weeks from this job board, so keep applying, because they’re out there! Law of averages – if you apply to 50, 100, 150, etc job postings, then SOMEBODY is bound to say yes! Don’t let all of those ‘nos’ weight you down.
