Thanks so much for all of your hard work. I wanted to share a success story. Based on your back to basic articles, I revised my covered letters. Last week I applied for an add wanting 2 columnists (one was a craft writer) and I pitched an idea for the second columnist. The site got back with me and said that they already had the columnist, but offered me a substantial amount of work on the type of content that I proposed in my cover letter. And to make it even sweeter, the content of the writing is exactly the niche I want to get into for the long term. Thanks again for everything.
Excellent news, Jennifer! Congratulations.
That is so great to hear, Jennifer! Thank you for stopping by to share it.
Great success story!!!
Thanks for the list.
Good for you! Congrats!
I tried to apply for the columnist position, but kept getting a failer notice that the post was to old. Would you mind divulging the name of the site so I could contact them through it? Thank you for your help. I understand the position is filled, but would love to pitch a few other ideas.
Wow – you’ve been busy today Jodee. One is right up my alley, and I had a query letter which didn’t require much modification, so quite pleased with that! *crosses fingers*
@ Andy: Glad to hear that you found something interesting on the list!
The first lead I picked up, I believe from this site a while back, was for a guy who wanted me to write his online dating bio for several sites (about 350 words) I was really grateful for the job and so far so good though I’m not finished doing a little tweaking he wanted. I expect to get about 50.00 for it sometime next week. Thanks for being such a great site!
@ Matti: You are most welcome, and I remember that ad. Good for you!
Hi Jodee, and Deb,
It’s great to hear/read about the success stories. Congratulations everyone who have earned from this site. Thank you again for all that you both do. I’ve been a bit busy lately but I wanted to voice my appreciation for everything.
Jenny
Also, I hope that all of the Canadians who visit this site had a great Thanksgiving Weekend!
@ Jenny B: It’s always great to hear from you. Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
