  1. Erika says:

I wonder about the adult dating sites. Do you suppose you have to be single to really do that?? The rate is pretty good, just wondering how far you really have to go with it to get enough for a review. Wouldn’t want to make a problem here at home with my honey!!

  2. Kenna says:

Thanks for the leads — nice batch! Congratulations Deb on your eBook. You’ll sell millions!!

  3. Dawn says:

Erika — hahahaha! I actually responded to that job posting and told them that I’d be perfect for the job because I met my husband on an online dating site. I was just hoping that “adult dating” wasn’t a euphemism!

  4. Paul says:

    Dawn,

I would be interested in hearing if you received a response. I am thinking ‘adult’ means adult, but I could be wrong.

  5. Dawn says:

Paul — I’ll let you know if/when I hear back.

  6. Phyl says:

I worry about applying to that one and immediately getting a ton of spam. That’s happened recently on a couple of these.

  7. Kyo says:

lol, I was getting ready to apply for the Fresh Scent blog, and then I realized it was about “medical” marijuana. lol Yeah, not my speed.

I’m wondering about the adult dating site, too.

  8. Phyl says:

I just emailed for the dating website review. If I get a sudden inrush of spam, I’ll post here again. :-)

  9. Pioneer says:

The email address for the adult dating site is listed as getresonse.com. I looked at the site and it’s an email marketing site. I may wait before applying.

  10. Jenn says:

Erika and Dawn: I applied for that position too and I also met my boyfriend on a dating site. Plus I was thinking the exact same thing about “adult” dating site haha

  11. Jenn says:

Oh and I’m wondering if I should also apply for the hair fashion website position. I like that it says “weekly payment” but it’s kinda far away in London (I’m from Pennsylvania) so I don’t know if I should trust it.

  12. Cynthia says:

Adult dating sites are generally pretty adult. I’ve done these in the past and you wouldn’t want to open them while kids are around. Some will require you to “join” for free in order to get a good look around but in general, it’s pretty cookie cutter once you get the feel for it. The hardest part is coming up with NEW things to say after you’ve reviewed ten places since they’re all the same.

  13. Felix says:

Just emailed the Segula Technologies lead on a whim. As a 24 y/o, newly graduated individual in the midst of a recession, I’m not exactly holding my breath. Love the website, by the way, and hope i land the gig. If I do, I’m donating. If not, I’ll donate when I have the cash. Thanks for giving young writers hope. ;o)

  14. Dawn says:

Pioneer — I’m not sure why I didn’t think of checking out that Web site. Brain freeze, I guess.

Jenn — Check out what Cynthia had to say! :-O

Cynthia — Ohhhh! Meanwhile, I never did get a response from them yesterday. If I have time today, maybe I’ll make a list of sexy adjectives that I can refer to if I get the work. ;-)

  15. Therese says:

Heads up fellow writers: I applied for a travel writer position (travel writing tips for different cities) that I found on here, but I turned it down because it rings “scam”. It’s out of Germany and they want you to sign up to their site and there’s a lot of weird criteria (they go by characters vs. words which is a bit odd, unless that’s the new rage these days?)

Just wanted to warn others. It just doesn’t sound entirely legit.

  16. Kendra says:

FYI – the online dating review job post is for PORN dating sites (they just responded to my query and the URL included wasn’t safe – I ended up opening it up on a browser preview program). Not only that, but they also want you to register for a porn site and write a review and THEN they’ll decide if you’re “right” for the job.

    The email response reads:

“After clicking the link, simply register for free, confirm
your email address and then take a look around the site and
write a short review. Email us your short review and a member of our staff will contact you with our decision within the next 5 business days.”
