Music/Entertainment magazine seeks freelance writers!

The Athens Blur Magazine (est. 2008) is an 8 issue/year publication based in the Classic City of Athens, Ga., covering a mix of our local scene and the best in regional and national music/A&E coverage. Applicants should show a flair for entertaining and engaging writing, be extremely detail oriented and able to work under tight deadlines. A solid and proven contact database for indie, mid-major, and major labels is a plus, though not required to submit. Most writing duties will be for 600 word spotlights covering any and all genres for each of our issues. Subjects will be given to you at first, but potential to pitch your own thoughts on bands is not far down the road once a relationship has been established.
