FWJ receives thousands of visitors each day. This tells me that many people are not only looking for work, but they’re also looking to learn more about writing on a freelance basis.
What sort of things are you most interested in reading or learning about? Why do you come to FWJ. Please discuss in the comments!

Hey Deb, I read your blog via my feed reader. Why is this showing up on the feed?
I don’t understand.
Heh – Leo, I forgot all about that. It’s from my feedfooter – I wrote it in a fit of anger after finding my content on other blogs.
I should fix that, huh?
Haha! I get it. Content theft has happened to us all. And… I’ll be back to actually answer your question later in the day.
Juat skimming over freelance work and advice. Looking for the best time and strategy to get started as an actual freelancer (and cut away from my regular job). that’s why I check this site a lot.
It’s funny that Leo asked about that because I was just coming here to ask for your advice since you had that statement in your feed footer. I’m finding stolen content from a blog I write for at various “spam blogs”. Do you have any tips on how to stop this or get the blogs to take the content down? Some of them don’t allow comments or don’t have contact info for me to even bring it to their attention that they’ve been caught. Thanks for any help you can give.
Is it okay to submit the same query or manuscript to a number of different magazines at the same time?
If I submit a completed manuscript, do I need to protect it from being used without my authorization? If yes, what’s the best way to do that?
I’d like to see someone discuss what rates are for managing/writing for a corporate blog. I might have an opportunity, but I know what professional “traditional” writing rates are, not rates for blogging.
Thanks
