Freelance Writing Jobs for July 17, 2009

This past week was a good lesson in Murphy’s Law. Sometimes things are out of our hands. We an obsess and stress or we can use them to create other opportunities. For me, being forced to find a new host wasn’t a setback, it was good news. It meant that so many people like what we do, we we have to find a bigger home to accomadate them all. Now, life is getting back to normal and it’s all good.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

    Happy Birthday as well

A couple of Murphy’s Law examples for you:

Years ago when I was caddying, I had a flat on the expressway on the way to the golf course. It was an old car, and the nuts were rusted on, so I couldn’t get them off. Sent my brother who was with me to get a tow from the nearby gas station. Guy came out, also couldn’t get nuts off tire, so he hooked the car up for a tow. As he was idling to merge into traffic, the tow truck ran out of gas.

Last fall, had my driveway redone (after 22 years). Looked great. Two nights later, water was coming up through the sidewalk. Water main had broken. Village dug through my sidewalk, my lawn and my newly redone driveway to fix the water main.

  5. Kelly says:

Tina, I think it’s only fair that you let people know that Examiner is currently holding a promotion for its own writers to recruit. It’s not a bad thing, but let people know why you’re posting that information here.
