I am starting my Monday in a newly redesigned and better organized home office. We spent the weekend rearranging furniture and setting things up so that I can work without constantly trying to either find a place to put my files and research material – or, worse, trying to find them later when I don’t remember which pile I threw them on! I’m very excited and the best part is, we only spent $20, for a new bookcase. With all of the new contracts I’ve been landing, in big part thanks to you, I desperately needed to get myself organized. I am ready to take on even more contracts now!!!
I’m sitting in the Phoenix airport waiting to fly home to Denver right now. Airport time is always a good time to get some tedious work done, and I’ve got a pile of offline work to do on the plane!

@Pat – I am inspired by your post! I’ve been trying to think what I could do ti simplify and organize my office. I’ll see if “we” can get to it next weekend!
I am getting my roof repaired, so it’s a bit noisy. Other than that, I am happily writing away.
I was going to stick to an actual schedule today. My goal was to write three or four articles. Now it’s about 2pm and I’ve completed exactly one article.
So I decided today was the day to organize my schedule and tomorrow is when I actually stick to it. 
$15 per 500-600 word article. I’m desperate for work, but not THAT desperate.
FTMM is a magazine with a decidedly Christian bent. Also, the writing so far, is not good…
I write 5-6 500 word articles per hour using Dragon NaturallySpeaking. I’m not writing Shakespeare, but I’m giving the client exactly what they want…quality re-write content for a decent price.
Just because you can’t handle writing a decent 500 word article in a short amount of time doesn’t mean other people aren’t capable of doing so
I’ve been making a killing lately off of all this work that other people deem “scraps” or “beneath them”. Go ahead…keep on tossing ‘em my way 
I’m over here clearing out the bank while other people are complaining about starving.
If people want to succeed, they’ll succeed. All this talk about how certain work is “beneath you” just goes to show how silly some people really are. You either want to provide for you and your family, or you don’t. Life isn’t always peaches and cream, and sometimes the only way to make lemonade is get your hands dirty squeezing some lemons.
I worked three hours yesterday doing 400 word articles for $10 a piece. That left me the rest of the day to spend time with my kids. I type 80 wpm and got four done per hour. $40 an hour is awesome pay around here. If it’s a familiar topic and you can research or type quickly $15 for 500 words can be very good pay.
