I started to apply to Darren Rowse’s service, but read the terms of service. This is not something anyone would agree to if they read it. Can you please comment on how to protect oneself from misrepresentation and misuse of work submitted for hire as a blogger?

Thanks for that link. I’ve been amazed at how low some people will bid — and disappointed that so many buyers expect quality work for almost nothing. I’m not spending a dime on Elance.

I know FlexJobs is a reputable company – I know the owners well and wrote much of their inaugural content. They list hundreds of telecommuting opportunities each week – not just writing. I can’t tell you if it’s worth it for you, but maybe others can weigh in.

What a great list! Thanks for putting it together. Many of these sites I’ve known about but there were quite a few that I haven’t heard of before.

It’s interesting to see Flex Jobs listed. I’ve been wondering if it was worth the fee. I used to patrol their listing before you had to pay to see the jobs. Same with Freelance Switch. I was so disappointed to see them change to charging a fee, but I guess these sites need to pay the bills too. I just can’t decide if it’s worth it to pay for job leads with so many free resources.

Morning Coffee is great. I’ve found quite a few good gigs from there. Of course, none compare to FWJ, but it’s nice to have other places to browse as well.
