Today I shared a few of my favorite funny blogs on Twitter. As the other Tweeters and I discussed the awesomeness of these blogs, it occurred to me a list was in order. You can blame some of these blogs for those mornings your leads are really late.
So here you have it. FWJ’s list of
Ten Blogs Guaranteed to Keep You from Your Work

Christina Lander’s blog about interests and pastimes popular with the world’s Caucasian population. The most recent post on camping? Yeah that was my family. I can relate to more items in this blog than I care to admit.
P.S. I interviewed Christian for BlogTalkRadio at SXSW and apparently white people at conferences like Macs and Twitter.

Every Sunday morning my five brothers and sisters and I would race to the front door in our pajamas in an effort to see if the Sunday papers arrived. The first person to the door had first dibs on the Funnies while the rest of us waited (im)patiently for our turn. Sunday morning TV sucked because the only thing on was Davey and Goliath or Wonderama. This was in the days before cable, folks, and it was bleak. Thank goodness for the Funnies.
Here’s the thing though…as I got older I didn’t find the comic section so funny. Sure, there was some good stuff like Doonesbury or Calvin and Hobbes. I doubt too many people let out a loud guffaw after reading Family Circus or Mary Worth, though. The Comic Curmudgen reads between the lines and says what we’re all thinking. He put the funny back in Funnies.

My biggest fear is that one of my siblings will read the Awkward Family Photos blog, head to my mother’s album, and take out all those pictures of me in my 70’s plaid bell bottom pants and crocheted vest, and send them in to take revenge for some long-ago family prank.
4. Engrish

It’s the hardest language to learn.
5. The “Blog” of “Unnecessary” Quotation Marks

When I lived in Queens, there was a bodega right next to the subway station. For years, this shop displayed a handwritten poster:
“Contradulation.” Lottery “winner” here.
I can’t read the Blog of Unnecessary Quotation Marks without thinking about my daily commute into Manhattan. Thanks for the memories.
6. The Museum of Kitchy Stitches

I have a ton of my grandma’s old crocheting magazines and I always wondered if people really wore the stuff their grannies created in hopes of showing the teens how hip they were to the latest fashions. I know the old gal had the best of intentions, but that yellow hat with the big flower on the side went into my bookbag as soon as I turned the corner. I did wear the granny square sweater vest once though. Once.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen an update from The Museum of Kitchy Stitches, but do browse the archives.

Cakes gone horribly wrong. Dorothy, we’re not in Charm City anymore.

Yes. Yes it is.

Suddenly I don’t feel like such a loser anymore.

Makes me feel a little better about my own hovel. People. Clean up before you show, and neutral colors if you don’t mind!

Okay, I’ve seen SOME of these before (and have met the Deb who’s in charge of the Museum of Kitschy Stitches), but I hadn’t seen all of them. Just …wow.
One of my favorites is http://www.peopleofwalmart.com. Just a few posts and I know why people in other countries think Americans are ridiculous.
Stacie, you and several of my Twitter friends turned me on to the People of Walmart blog. I just spend the last half hour reading and laughing very loud. Funny stuff.
I don’t like to toot my own horn here, but I’d like to toot my own horn here.
Procrastination also takes up residence at http://www.eventualism.com on a regularly eventual basis.
Too away, Mike and thanks for sharing!
My favorite time waster is Cake Wrecks, but my son and I sit down and laugh our way through the Fail Blog on a regular basis. Both are in my Google reader:-) I’m afraid to check out any of the others you have listed above…
May I also suggest:

I love the People of Wal-Mart blog. These guys started this site back in August as just a fun thing to do. They peruse local Wal*Mart shopping centers and capture photos of some really weird looking folk – making sure not to poke fun at anyone handicap, disabled, etc.
It’s really funny.
I read engrish.com on a regular basis.
anyone see http://www.fmylife.com/ or http://mylifeisaverage.com/ or http://notalwaysright.com/
