Freelance Writing Jobs for October 20, 2009

I’m so excited. I’ve been asked to speak to my son’s second grade class about writing. It’s an honor to be invited to speak to kids – our future – about what I love to do most. This is probably the most important speaking engagement ever.

Also, if you have any questions about me or FWJ, feel free to ask. Remember, just because someone printed it, doesn’t mean it’s true. People embellish, and that’s all I’ll say about that.

Here’s what’s going on around the network:

All of these are current. From yesterday afternoon or this morning. Leads…

Do you like technology?

We are looking for talented and enthusiastic writers to contribute to a popular iPhone blog which has been featured on DIGG, Gizmodo, Engadget and other sites.

Our ideal candidates possess an excellent grasp of English with an impeccable knack for grammar,  informative yet witty voice, and preferably an interest in iphone and/or consumer electronics.

Duties will include writing and proofreading posts, as well as performing research for potential story ideas.

Payment will be $12/hr.

For consideration, please send 3 published writing samples to Mike at kopoba11 AT yahoo DOT com.

  1. Jean says:

Does anyone see where to apply for #1 under General? It’s the Cheating in America link. There is a ton of information, but I don’t see an email or application link anywhere. Am I just missing it?

  2. @Jean – Sometimes an extra pair of eyes help but I could not find a contact or email either.

  3. Pat says:

The “cheating” article has apparently been posted on a lot of different sites. I googled it and came up with this as what may be the original bid site:

    http://www.getafreelancer.com/projects/Copywriting-eBooks/Article-Cheating-America.html

    Hope that helps.

  4. Jean says:

Pat & Veronica, thanks for the assistance.

  5. Brandi U. says:

Just a head’s up for #15 Intern for Social Green Intern. I think this is the publication located in Los Gatos, California that I wrote for. If so, be wary. I wrote 5 articles for them as a freelance writer, not an intern and they never paid me.

  6. Elaine says:

Does anyone know the actual email for the first job related to technology, I have tried it the way it is and it comes back as failed to deliver.

  7. Kenna says:

    Thanks for the list.

  8. Kristy says:

Does anyone know the actual email for the first job related to technology, I have tried it the way it is and it comes back as failed to deliver. I’ve tried it both ways and its not working. Help?
