Just an FYI, though: the “novel editor” gig in NYC states “No Pay” in the details under the entry.
I researched the Editor for Art Blog and the type of thing that they are looking for is pornography, mainly along the lines of abusive porn. The LaBruce that they are referring to is a gay porn star who does slasher type porn. Butt magazine,mentioned in the ad, is an obscenity. I flagged the ad on Craigslist.
So what the heck kind of ad is:
We are looking for experienced writers to contribute to our magazine.
Please inquire within and let us know your experience.
Also, indicate your expected compensation.
No magazine name or information about circulation, what it covers, etc. Asks for compensation without giving a clue about subject matter or required story length . . .
Maybe they should hire someone to write their ads.
