Looking for a copy editor who can edit for tone and style as well as mechanics.
A web content development company is seeking a professional editor to go over already written material and improve quality. Our ideal editor will have amazing online research skills and a real eye for the tone of a piece. We are developing a site that focuses on boating, so any experience within the boat industry would also be a huge plus. Currently, we have approximately 260 450+ word summaries of different boat brands. These have all the necessary info in them but they read like summaries. Ideally, we would like them to read as authoritative and informative, since we want our site to be the place people go to learn about these brands. It is a subtle distinction, and I can provide numerous examples, as well reference sites and research techniques. You will also be adding pricing info to all pages. We pay $5 per page and all work can be done remotely. We are looking for someone to take this on as a full-time project, ideally for completion within the next two weeks.
