The first item under proofreading seemed to be an okay posting. I received a response stating they used a third party to manage and pay Independent Contractors. They gave me a link to http://www.realwritingjobs.com and said I needed to sign up. The website is a job ads site and doesn’t seem to be a management site. The person noted a $2.95 fee, but the site says that is an initial with $47 to follow (cancel at any time, of course).
