  1. Nice list! Actually, I was getting a little concerned about your quality. Today, you disabused me of that idea.

  2. PK Fontana says:

#6 under General / Misc is looking for “writers to complete college and university level essays . . . .” Thought FWJ decided at one point not to run these postings, as they are definitely unethical.

  3. Thanks for the list. I am excited to submit my information and get working!

  4. 3 and 5 under the Proofreading/Editing gigs are the same advertisement– and it’s a scam. The woman who replies to the ads is an affiliate for She’ll try and get you to register for their site for a small fee, and then the site will keep charging your card $47 per month for so-called “job leads.” I replied to this ad off of LA Craigslist last week–but dropped it like a hot potato when she asked for the registration fee.

  5. Ditto what Margaret said. I also applied to a similar add recently and had the same response.

  6. Joseph Hillhouse says:
  7. They did last time. It got them about as much positive publicity as the organization (the ASPCA?) that complained about the animals left behind when the Germans deported the Jews.
