I love, love, love this blog and I am so grateful for the hard work, dedication, and love that goes into it. When I first starting visiting this blog, it was hosted elsewhere. I got some fantastic jobs from the listings that were posted on this blog.

Then, the popularity of this blog grew, and soon within an hour of so of a listing being on here it was being pulled by the author (from the site where it was originally placed) or I was getting an email stating that over 1000 (or more) resumes had already been submitted so they were not accepting more, or they had already chosen out of the first they got.

It has been many months since I have been able to snag anything listed here, in spite of having additional credits with which to pad my resume (which I am continuing to get). This is not the only place I visit for job ads, but it is by far my favorite, and overall, the best one to-date for providing legit leads from which I have gotten work.

This puts me in a quandry - do I continue to seek work here and hope things will get better for me, or do I move on to some other blog that maybe lists leads from other sources, and isn’t so heavily scoured, yet?

I am thrilled for Deb that her hard work and dedication is paying off so well in readers (though I am sure if everyone would ante up a bit more would be appreciated *smile*). I begrudge her nothing.

This brings me to two questions for other writers, and Deb, too, if she has time to answer:

When you find yourself in this situation, what do YOU do?

What things have YOU done to put yourself in the top 1% of those 1000 applicants?

[Hmmm, that almost sounded like a blog, huh? *chuckle* Sorry.]

PS - I wish there was an edit feature. I caught my typos after I posted. This is what happens when you edit and then forget to re-read it all. Sheesh.
